  • Providing clean water and sewage $37 billion
  • Halving world hunger $24 billion
  • Preventing soil erosion $24 billion
  • Providing reproductive health care for all women $12 billion
  • Eradicating illiteracy $5 billion
  • Provide immunisation for every child in the developing world $3 billion
  • Control the spread of HIV/AIDS $10 billion
  • Control malaria in sub-Saharan Africa $3 billion (State of the world report 2005).
  • Another $80 billion would meet basic human needs for everyone on the planet (UNICEF state of the world's children report)
